Corporation of America (NYSE: CXW), announced today that it will hold its 2002
Annual Meeting of Stockholders at 10:00 a.m., Nashville time, on Thursday, May
16, 2002, at the Hilton Suites, 121 Fourth Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee.
The record date for common stockholders entitled to notice of and to vote at the
annual meeting has been set for Thursday, April 4, 2002. The matters to be
considered at the meeting will be set forth in the proxy materials to be filed
by the Company with the SEC and to be distributed to the Company's stockholders.
About the CompanyThe Company is the nation's largest provider of outsourced corrections management services, housing an inmate population larger than that of all but five public correctional systems in the United States. The Company specializes in owning, operating and managing prisons and other correctional facilities and providing inmate residential and prisoner transportation services for governmental agencies.
