NASHVILLE, Tenn., Mar 1, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Corrections Corporation of America (NYSE: CXW), announced today that it will hold its 2002 Annual Meeting of Stockholders at 10:00 a.m., Nashville time, on Thursday, May 16, 2002, at the Hilton Suites, 121 Fourth Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee. The record date for common stockholders entitled to notice of and to vote at the annual meeting has been set for Thursday, April 4, 2002. The matters to be considered at the meeting will be set forth in the proxy materials to be filed by the Company with the SEC and to be distributed to the Company's stockholders.
